The Italian company "Casentino Scavi", which has been using Montabert Rock breakers for 18 years, is at present using a Montabert V 65 for direct extraction and block breaking in a travertine quarry. The rock breaker works, without interruption, 11 hours a day and it's production is approximately 200 m3.

Travertine is a very specific material in view of it's morphological and geophysical characteristics: even if it appears fragile with low crushing resistance, it is in fact very plastic and absorbs a considerable amount of energy. It thus requires intelligent demolition in order to make production profitable.

The V 65, a powerful hydraulic rock breaker, sensitive and reliable, enables an optimal adaptation to the geophysical changes in the rock. Above all, the customer appreciates the
V 65 energy variation system as well as the double rubber dampners which absorb vibrations and thus protect the excavator boom. Furthermore, the HP and BP revolving swivels, oscillate and adapt to the tool angle in order to guarantee the best protection for the hoses.
